ABOUT MIC ROB
Mic Rob, a Chicago native and American songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur, currently calls the Minneapolis Twin Cities, MN home. Born on July 15th, Mic Rob’s journey into the world of music is as diverse and inspiring as his eclectic talents. Holding a B.A in business/marketing from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mic Rob stands out in the industry as a savvy businessman, owning all his masters—a rarity in today’s music landscape.
For Mic Rob, music isn’t just a career—it’s a lifeline. Having navigated the challenges of growing up in a single-parent household amidst poverty, music became his sanctuary, his beacon of hope. Witnessing his mother’s relentless struggle to provide for him and his two younger siblings with limited resources fueled Mic Rob’s unwavering determination, hustle, and work ethic—a dedication that transcends the confines of the ordinary artist.
Infused with a unique sound, style, and rhythm inspired by his irregular heartbeat, Mic Rob’s music resonates with audiences worldwide, transcending age and cultural barriers. His debut album, “BTD: Beyond The Dreams,” is a testament to his artistic prowess, written and produced entirely by Mic Rob himself under his label, 3Lab Vision. Dedicated to his grandmother, Cheryl Roberts, who passed in 2018, “BTD” is a poignant homage to family, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams.
Beyond accolades and achievements, Mic Rob’s mission extends far beyond the confines of the studio. With a steadfast commitment to community empowerment and youth development, Mic Rob leverages his platform to inspire positive change. Through his music, he seeks to instill the same sense of peace, joy, and guidance that he found in his own musical journey, igniting the hearts, souls, and creative spirits of listeners worldwide.
Mic Rob’s story is one of triumph over adversity, of turning pain into power, and of using music as a catalyst for change. As he continues to carve his path in the industry, one thing remains clear: Mic Rob’s voice—both on and off the stage—will continue to uplift, inspire, and unite.
